This was our second meeting of the season with a wildlife theme. The speaker was Terry Weston, a member of York Camera Club who is also involved locally with wildlife conservation at Hassacar Nature Reserve in Dunnington.
Terry showed us some of his favourite wildlife images, and explained the thinking behind these images. He also talked about the equipment he uses, and discussed techniques for fieldcraft and setting up great “natural” shots.
Most of the images were taken in and around Yorkshire, and ranged from exotic and rare species to the most frequent bird and rodent visitors spotted in his garden. The talk has served as great inspiration for club members to take their cameras outside in the lovely spring weather that we have been having lately.
